Guitaring with Mark and Pat
so I was guitaring with Mark and Pat yesterday night, and we tended to get off topic SO often, in fact we probably talked about US/European politics more than actually playing, lol. We went from pop-culture music.... all the way to 10-year old suicide bombers in Iraq.... haha

Wisconsin
So this trip up North was basically the best family fest in years... too much stories to name so I'll just say what we did. Golfing, tubing, BBQs, campfires, baggo, paint balling, canoeing, fishing, ping-pong, pool, Möw, telephone pictionary, discovering random shit in the woods... haha, prety awesome... hopefully it will be like that next year too

breakfast kitchen
So yesterday I had another movie night at my house and had a few friends over. After the movie we went to the kitchen for something to drink. One of my friends then told me that my kitchen would be a "kitchen that reminds him of his grandmas kitchen, where you would feel really comfortable sitting down eating breakfast in the morning."
WHAT!?!?!?!?!
WHAT!?!?!?!?!

Waterboy fail
So I checked out some DVDs from the library the other day to get ready for another movie night I'd be hosting today. We'd be watching The Waterboy. This morning I guess my mom returned all the tapes, including The Waterboy, since we are going on vacation soon and she wanted to make sure everything was returned to the library on time. Now all of the sudden I'm more or less freaking out since I have people coming over later to watch a movie we don't have at the moment. So around 12:30 I went to help my friend with his Eagle project, and after that I went home to change, then back to the library to see if I could re-obtain the movie. I got there and looked up on the computer in the A/V section if they had it; it was being shelved, so I went over to the check-out desk and asked for it. The guy got it from the back and I was happy =). I got some for movies just in case, and got a few CDs to go along with it before I left.

not much to say
So I dont have much to say right now..... but whats starting to become disapointing, is when the relationship with one of your friends who you at one point felt really close to, starts to fade more and more, while both sides start to move on. Its like making the most wonderful sand castle in the world, having tons of memories from the building process and leaving from the site letting the shore wash it away over time.

guitar
So yesterday one of my friends came over in the middle of the night and taught me how to play guitar. We found out that the guitar I had was about 50 years old, which means it could be an antique! =). We first re-strung it, since it seemed as if the original strings were still on it. This is a guitar that my grandpa garbage picked for me several years ago and since I liked to think I was awesome, I tried adjusting the small "e" string and ended up breaking it. So I got new strings for it recently, and me and my friend put them on yesterday. Later, he then taught me a few chords and how to hold my hands..... omg, I didn't realize it was so uncomfortable at first to hold your hands like how you're supposed to. I then was told that it's a lot easier to play when you start to build calluses on your finger tips, for a stronger push on the fret and a cleaner sound. But obviously my fingers aren't full of calluses, so sometimes my sweet tunes sound sour. Throughout the night I kept trying the few chords he taught me, and eventually they became a lot easier to do. Then it was time to move from chord to chord..... it's SO hard!!! My fingers are very non-mobile, so moving even one finger was a struggle, imagine all 4 I had to use! It took like 10 seconds to move my fingers to the next chord position, haha. Today I practiced some more, and the feel for the chords seems a lot easier, but the my finger tips feel all numb from yesterday.

Massive CD check-out
So yesterday I hosted a movie night, so I went to the library earlier to get a movie that we'd watch that night. I saw one of my friends earlier that day and he said he was also going to the library later, and since he was coming over later for the movie I asked if he wanted to just meet me there. We then met up at the library later that day to get a movie. We got a movie and were looking through the CD section. All of the sudden he started grabbing CDs like I've never seen before. He had about 8 CDs and I'm like "(his name), haha, that's alot of CDs" and he replied by saying he need to catch up on his music. Haha, I'm kinda starting to laugh because I've never seen someone take so many CDs out at once. And before I knew it, he had CDs held from his waist all the way up to his head! Now... when you have to use 2 hands to carry the CDs to the check-out line, you have too much, lol. He then went over to check-out his CDs and had to put them in 2 large piles on the table so they wouldn't fall all over the floor. The lady at the check-out smiled and offered him a free bag to carry his CDs in. I just think this was hilarious how someone can take out 20 CDs at once.... I wonder what he's doing with all of them? ...lol

Why does Facebook chat totally blow?
Ok, so I tend to go on FB a lot and like to talk to ppl. But I can't seem to even count how many times I've been disconnected with someone, or my Internet froze causing me to "X" out of my internet browser and totally start over. This has been a complete pain in the ass, especially when meeting new ppl. You never know what kind of impression they could have on you after you had been disconnected countless times on you first chat online. Not only is it embarrassing, but it's totally agitating and annoys the hell out of you. Over the past year I've started to use other programs for chat such as AIM. It seems to be much more convenient and since it isn't through an internet browser, you don't have to worry about being disconnected as often. Another thing I like about AIM is that you have the option to have chat updates, log ins/log outs or even your IMs appear in the bottom right corner of the screen so you can see it right away instead of maybe having to look back every now and then on your FB tab, or keep re-opening the friends list too see who's still on. But idk, to me AIM seems to be much easier. Another popular program that's starting to make a run, is Skype. It has the same concept as AIM, but has a lot more little features and seems to be easier to use for file transfers such as live video chats. But since I don't use Skype at the moment, I really can't say much else about it. All I know is that FB chat is really pissing me off and it would be much more convent of we all used a separate program for chatting instead of using one through an internet browser.
The Trip to the DM-frickin'-V...
So on Thursday I went to get my license, sounds pretty exciting, doesn't it? Next time you go to the DMV to get your license, or whatever the reason... make sure you have everything. My mom has the day off of work, and it seems like it's a good day to go out and get my license, since my drivers permit would expire that upcoming Sunday. (go figure, we would wait until the last minute)
So get there and show the guy at the desk all the things we brought..... we're missing my birth certificate..... now we have to go ALLLL the way back home (about 10 miles) to get my birth certificate. So now my mom is really pissed at me because before we left to go, she had had asked me to look online and get a list of everything we needed.
Then we go back with my birth certificate, It's the same guy at the front desk. NOW we need, not the social security number.... the actual CARD!!!! ...what the hell, we had the number, but now we need the actual card. So now we have to go back home and get the card. (my mom isn't much happier) We get home and get the card.... It's stupid, the only difference between just having the number and the actual card, is that the card is "official" and has your name and number printed on it.... I really don't know what the big deal is.
So then, we get the card and go back. This is almost funny because it's our 3rd time going to the DMV today, and we haven't figured out how to get past that stupid guy at the front desk. We get there and it's a new guy this time, WOOHOO!!! We tell him our totally awesome story about how we've been here 3 times today. So then he tells us that we need our INSURANCE card.... My mom is about to cry, but even I knew like the guy said, it should be in the car. We leave the building once again, and look in our car for the insurance card. We find it, Good Riddance!!! So we go back in there and tell guy we have everything now (being this is the 4th visit now) And he says "ok good, you have everything." I don't think I've ever felt so relieved in my life.
We then move on to the next counter to do all the paper work and stuff. We own this part, and get past it on the first try. The lady then tells us to pull our car in the back of the building and get in line for the driving test. We get back there.... HUGE line of cars!!! lol, jk.... there's only 1 car in line. So I get in line, and I see an instructor lady take the girl in front of me. But before she does so, my mom and that other girls mom are sitting on an "employees only" picnic table, and the instructor lady SCREAMS at them "Can't you read!?!?! It says "employees only" You're not supposed to be sitting there!!!" It was funny how fast my mom and the other mom got out of the seats and stood up. Then the mean instructor lady took the girl in the car in front of me and went off for their test.
When it was my turn, I got this older guy who was really nice. We took our drive and was probably one of the easiest tests I've taken. After the test, my mom told me that the girl that was in front of me failed.... haha, I bet anyone that had that lady would fail. I then got my license and now I'm free for the rest of my life!!! =D .....lol, jk
