So tonight I uploaded Hobo Hunting. Here's the story behind it.....
So last year, a few of my cousins came over for some reason. In the afternoon sometime, they're like, "we're gonna go hobo hunting" and I'm like, "ok whatever, I'll be at home". So they went off... and had no idea what they were doing. They get back a few hours later with video footage. I'm like, "really?" Thinking in my head that they are just crazy people. So I took the camera, and watched the videos they took. I soon realized, they made a documentary! o_O
I told them I would put the videos together to make a movie out of it, and I did. I just finished it the other day and am putting it on facebook as I'm writing this blog. So I guess now it's on facebook, so take a look! =D

Summer!
Now that is it summer, I have no school or volleyball or anything planned.... it's pretty awesome. Unlike last summer, which was packed from the start, I have not a whole lot of plans for this summer. That basically means that I can relax and do whatever. I can't wait until I get my laptop, which will probably be in August because according to my mom, there is a week where there is free tax on school supplies. No one else I know has even heard of such a thing, so I don't know if it's true or not. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Let's go USA in the World Cup!

1.5
So wow, I haven't blogged in a while.... I've just been overloaded busy with things everyday, it's truely been pretty insane. It's really hard to believe now that I only have 1.5 days of high school left. The best part is, my summer is basically WIDE open. Yeah I'll be working a bit, but I only work a few days a week for a couple hours each day I work, so it's not too bad at all. So pretty life for me has slowed down alot, basically from a running sprint now to a jog... It's still pretty fast, but it feels A HECK of a lot better.
Yay summer! =D
Yay summer! =D

hmm, idk what to title this one
So it's hard to believe that it's May already, that means just 1 more month until I'm done with high school =D. It's gonna be bittersweet. I can't wait until school ends.... For some reason Mr. Richardson is making Bio alot harder, I'm doing bad in Sports Lit because I never read, and I'm failing spanish right now because we just got done doing all of our AP practices (I'm not even taking the AP test) and AP practices are impossible and I fail them every time. I also just got done dealing with huge prom drama that I've been dealing with for over a month now. Volleyball is becoming annoying because I'm ALWAYS sick now and I can never practice without coughing up a lung. I'm also getting worse because I can never fully practice, so I'm way behind everyone else. Then there is work... I'm always scheduled for bad hours that I've asked off, so I'm always trying to figure things out with people to switch. For youth group, it seems that since I've become a peer minister, I've barely been able to come to events or drop-in because of all the other things I'm involved with.
Hopefully when summer comes I'll be able to finally relax....

Palatine Invite
When we play our game, we kick serious butt. When we dont, we lose every single time... that's just how our volleyball team is. Going into friday night to start the Palatine Invite, we knew we would have a challenge ahead of us if we were going to win.
Friday Night
Match 1, on the Main Court vs Prospet - for some reason we came out playing with zero sense of urgency. We looked like a team that didn't care and didn't want to be there. I'm not sure what we were thinking about, but it wasn't volleyball. We let a pretty good team beat us like we were a horrible team.... we lost in 2 games
Match 2, on the North Shelf vs Libertyville - We had beaten this team in 2 games this past monday. We came out a little more focused than vs Prospect, we looked like a good volleyball team. We made a lot less errors and made a lot of great plays.... we win in 2 games
Saturday
Match 1, on the main court vs Maine East - To qualify for the winners bracket and have a run for the championship we would need to beat this team, otherwise we would be then going for the Consolation at best. We came out strong with an early lead and looked like we were a lot more focused than our match vs Prospect the night before.... we win in 2 games
Match 2, on the south side of East Gym vs Stevenson (semi-finals) - We knew they'd be a tough opponent. We started off losing 1-5 or something like that, but then kicked back to playing our game and went on some sick runs. Emotions on the court and on the bench have never been greater and it was one of the best feelings to be able to be apart of it.... we rocked them in 2 games to move on to the finals! =D We would vs the winner of the Fremd/Prospect match going on at the same time as us.
Match 3, on the Main Court vs Prospect (the championship!) - I don't know what it was, but we didn't come out firing in the first game vs Prospect. We made things difficult for ourselves. After having high energy and emotions during the Stevenson match, idk... maybe we just used it all up, because we we're the same. We made the most errors our team has ever made in one game for the entire season. They ended up winning the first game 30-28 (extra points because you have to win by 2) 13 of their 30 points were because of our stupid errors, just imagine if we made like 2 less errors.... So game 2, we played a little better. We didn't make as many errors and started playing how we do when we win. Still those high emotions weren't there, but they were better. We went back and forth with them for awhile, but then pulled away when we started playing alot better winning the second game 25-18. Game 3, we came into the game telling the bench and the players on the court to just go buck-nasty. Why hold anything back, right? It was game 3 of the championship game. We started off really strong and playing REALLY well. Our bench was going insane and the players on the court were doing the same. We started with a lead and just kept on charging, I don't think we held anything back. We won the third game 25-12, give or take a few points for them. But point is, we killed them and won the Palatine Invite! =D
It's amazing how we can put teams away when we actually play how we're supposed to. It was the first time Palatine had won their invite in a LONG time...

crazy person
So yesterday at work there was this guy who's always been coming in to play basketball recently. He's a newer guy in town, his drivers licence says he's 18 years old and he moved in from Arizona last fall. He came in and asked for a basketball, so we gave him one in place of his PPD ID, which is what we do to give out balls at the park district. He then went on the shelf by himself so he can run back and forth on the full court. He seemed to have a bad temper because alot of times when he's miss, he slam the ball against the ground or the wall. Eventually he came down and said, "Can you guys just hang onto my ball? I'm not done, I'm just going out for a quick smoke." I gave him the "wow, really?" look then let him be on his way. He came back like 5 minutes later, we gave him his ball and he went back up. When it was time to close (this is like 10 minutes later) He came down, gave back his ball and we said "alright thanks, have a good night." and he's like, "Oh I will, I'm getting drunk!" Me and my co-worker were like, wow....
So yea, there are some crazy people who come in for open gym at the park district

PAFA? are you there?
So today I had work at 7
After volleyball practice I hurried home, grabbed some food, grabbed my work clothes, went off to the community center to get the key to the senior center where I worked today, then off to the senior center. Phewsh... what a rush I was in. So I got there around 6:45, hoping I would have enough time to set up the room before the PAFA people came for their meeting. So by the time I get the room set-up, it's like 7:10ish or whatever, and I'm wondering where the people are. I then go back and sit at my desk near the door, wait for the people, fill out the time sheet, and start my homework. At around 7:30, I'm like hmmm..... no one is here. I'm the only one in the builiding, and I have the only car parked in the parking lot. I then go down to a phone and call my boss, Mr. Vito Manola (the guy at the park district who runs for mayor but will never win), and tell him that no one, is here. So he tells me to just wait like 15 more minutes and then call him back if no one shows up. At 8 I call him back, no one is here for the meeting and I'm still being a loner in the building all by myself. He tells me to just put the room back how it was (ugh, that means re-do the set-up that takes 15 minutes) and then I can leave. I fixed the room super fast like the 10-second-tidy from The Big Comfy Couch! =D (don't pretend you don't know, you all remember that show) After that, I packed up my stuff, recorded 2 hours on my time sheet like he told me to do, then went home. Of course when I left it started pouring rain. I had to also bring the key back to the community center.
So that's it, just another story to fit in a blog =)
